Is there a way show dimensions between objects to get spacing for objects.

Yes. It can be done at 2D screen by using Measurement Tapes feature.

How to use Measurement Tapes.

Tap and hold on an empty space then drag to measure a distance.

Adjust tape handles – they will snap to walls, objects and 45 degree angle. You can move the measurement tape around and make adjustments to it.
